PISFCC participates in COP25

Three PISFCC executive members traveled to participate in COP 25.

Two weeks of intensive campaigning is finally over! Here is a brief overview of the key highlights of the accomplishments of the team;

Collectively the team has paneled in eight official side events to raise awareness about climate change in the Pacific, youth and gender voice and primarily the ICJ AO and the organization.

  • Organized a panel: Storian Blong Yumi II: Pacific Youth seeking climate justice through the International Court of Justice.

  • Participated in the 500,000-strong climate march in Madrid.

  • Provided supporting role as well as represented their delegations in the negotiations and official side events.

  • Engaged with numerous youth all around the world notably from Colombia, Canada, New Zealand, Europe and so forth.

  • Forged new partnerships and alliances with numerous partners.

  • Last but not least, contributed to the amplification of Pacific voices by the Pacific family in COP25.
