Art Competition
Reimagining Pacific Futures
The Reimagining Pacific Futures (RPF) is a climate action initiative organized by the youth-led organization the Pacific Islands Students Fighting Climate Change. The RPF is part of PISFCC's regional campaign to amplify the voices of Pacific children and youth to participate in climate activism and in the decision making process through their art.
Based on the theme of climate change and human rights, the art competition has been a unique attempt to gather the concerns of the young people of the Pacific and how they would like to reimagine the future they would like for their Pacific. An inspiring collection of art in a number of forms has joined this virtual exhibition.
The organizers directed the flow and ownership of the event through the distinctive local branding of day one as, ‘Umi stori’ (let’s converse), and day two as ‘Umi akson’ (let’s take action), a holistically strategic two-fold approach to address the contemporary problem over the disconnection between youths and their environment.

The Islands are Calling
The Islands are Calling is a creative production by the Pacific Islands Students Fighting Climate Change. It is a song that seeks to raise the voice of the youth calling for action against the climate crisis while showing the wonders of Pacific life, heritage, art, nature, culture and tradition which are all sadly under threat by the climate crisis.

Awareness Visit
Sigatoka Sand Dunes
Our Fiji Chapter visited the Sigatoka Sand Dunes - a national heritage site as part of a local conservation and team bonding initiative. This was an attempt at getting young people to visit the beauties of nature and appreciate unique landscapes such as the sand dunes and participate in the restoration of the dry forest at the dunes.
